unconfounded
Free from confusion
Unconfounded describes something not mixed up or confused with other factors.
In research and statistics, an unconfounded result means the observed effect can be attributed to the variable being studied rather than some lurking influence: The randomized design yielded unconfounded estimates of the treatment effect.
Outside technical contexts, unconfounded can simply mean clear or undistorted.
