the Reagans
Eighties White House pair
The Reagans refers to Ronald Reagan, 40th president of the United States, and his wife Nancy, considered as a unit.
The term typically evokes their political era (1981–1989) and its associated conservatism, or their public image as a devoted couple: The Reagans transformed the Republican Party.
Nancy's influence on her husband's presidency was widely noted, making "the Reagans" feel apt for their shared political identity.
