team mom
Volunteer group coordinator
A team mom is a parent—almost always a mother—who volunteers to handle organizational tasks for a youth sports team: coordinating snacks, managing schedules, distributing uniforms, and communicating with other parents.
The role extends beyond sports to any group activity where one parent takes on administrative duties: Our team mom sends out the practice schedule every week.
Despite the name, fathers occasionally fill the role.
