tea roses
Beverage-fragrant hybrids
Tea roses are a class of garden roses prized for their delicate fragrance—said to resemble fresh tea leaves—and elegant, high-centered blooms.
They were among the first repeat-blooming roses brought to Europe from China in the nineteenth century.
Though somewhat tender and disease-prone, they became parent stock for hybrid tea roses, which dominate modern rose cultivation.
