schiller
Stone's inner glow
Schiller is a lustrous, metallic sheen that appears in certain minerals when light reflects off internal structures.
The effect is most commonly seen in feldspar varieties like moonstone and sunstone, where it creates a floating, billowy glow beneath the surface.
Mineralogists call this phenomenon schillerization. (Capitalized Schiller is the German poet and playwright.)
