sausage fests
Overwhelmingly male events
A sausage fest is a gathering or event where men vastly outnumber women, often to the disappointment of those hoping for romantic or social opportunities with the opposite sex.
The term plays on the crude slang association of sausages with penises.
It typically carries a mildly derisive tone, suggesting the event is less fun or desirable because of the gender imbalance.
The party turned into a total sausage fest—there were maybe three women there.
