rush hours
Traffic jam times
Rush hours are the periods when traffic is heaviest, typically morning and evening as people commute to and from work.
The term applies to roads, public transit, and general congestion: I try to avoid driving during rush hour.
Despite the plural form, rush hour often appears as a singular modifier: rush hour traffic, the rush hour commute.
