row covers
Garden fabric tunnels
Row covers are lightweight fabric or plastic sheets placed over garden plants to protect them from frost, pests, or harsh weather while allowing light and water through.
Gardeners drape them directly over crops or support them with hoops: I put row covers on the lettuce when frost threatened.
Also called floating row covers when laid loosely without frames.
