resteep
Second tea extraction
To resteep is to steep again—typically tea leaves or herbs that have already been infused once.
Many teas, especially oolongs and pu-erhs, yield multiple infusions with evolving flavors: I resteep my loose-leaf three or four times before discarding it.
The practice extracts remaining flavor and stretches the value of quality leaves.
