recording artists
Those who track
Recording artists are musicians or singers who create music for commercial release—albums, singles, or digital tracks.
The term emphasizes their role in the recording industry rather than live performance, though most do both.
A recording artist may be a solo performer or a band: The label signed three new recording artists this year.
