potter around
Do small tasks
Potter around is a chiefly British way of describing unhurried, aimless activity, often involving small tasks done in a leisurely manner.
Someone who potters around the house might tidy a bit here, water a plant there, with no particular urgency or agenda.
I spent Sunday morning pottering around the garden.
