penny pusher
Stingy office worker
A penny pusher is a coin-operated arcade game where players drop coins onto a moving platform, hoping to push other coins (and sometimes prizes) over an edge to win them.
The game creates the illusion of easy winnings while the house edge ensures profitability: I wasted ten dollars on the penny pusher at the boardwalk.
Also called a coin pusher or coin dozer.
