overscale
Beyond normal proportions
Overscale means larger than standard or expected proportions.
In design and architecture, overscale elements are deliberately oversized for visual impact: overscale furniture in a grand foyer, an overscale chandelier.
In entertainment, overscale refers to pay above union minimums: The lead actors negotiated overscale contracts.
