obsoletism
Word no longer used
An obsoletism is a word or expression that has fallen out of use—the linguistic equivalent of a museum piece.
While *archaic* describes old-fashioned words still occasionally encountered, obsoletisms have essentially vanished from living language: The dictionary marked "forsooth" as an obsoletism.
Linguists use the term when cataloging vocabulary that exists only in historical texts.
