newspaper columns
Regular writer's features
Newspaper columns are the vertical divisions of text on a printed page, typically two to six per page, allowing easier reading of narrow line widths.
The term also refers to regular features written by columnists—opinion pieces, advice columns, or commentary appearing on a recurring schedule: She writes a weekly column on local politics.
By extension, column can mean any recurring written feature.
