needs no introduction

Universally known already

A phrase used when presenting someone so famous or well-known that explaining who they are would be unnecessary: Ladies and gentlemen, she needs no introduction—please welcome the mayor.

The expression is formulaic and often ironic, since it's invariably followed by an introduction anyway.
