nasal decongestants
Stuffy nose medicine
Nasal decongestants are medications that relieve stuffiness in the nose by shrinking swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages.
They come in oral forms like pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine, or as sprays and drops applied directly to the nose.
The pharmacist recommended a nasal decongestant for my sinus congestion.
Spray versions work faster but can cause rebound congestion if used for more than a few days, leading to a cycle of dependency that makes stuffiness worse.
