mewlers
Weak, whimpering creatures
Mewlers are people or animals that mewl—making weak, high-pitched crying or whimpering sounds.
The term applies literally to kittens or infants but is more often used disparagingly for adults who complain in a feeble, pathetic manner.
The comment section was full of mewlers upset about the price increase.
Shakespeare famously paired the image with infancy: "the infant, mewling and puking in the nurse's arms."
