half-timer
Works reduced hours
A half-timer is someone who works or attends part-time—half the standard hours.
The term originated in 19th-century Britain for children who split their day between factory work and school under early labor laws.
Now it's used more loosely for anyone on a reduced schedule: She's a half-timer since having the baby.
