Green soap is a soft, olive-colored soap made from vegetable oils and potassium hydroxide rather than sodium hydroxide.
It's used medicinally for skin cleansing, particularly before surgical procedures, and in tattoo parlors for preparing skin and wiping away ink during the tattooing process: The artist cleaned the area with green soap between passes.
