great grandmothers
Grandparents' own mothers
Great grandmothers is the plural of great grandmother—the mother of one's grandmother or grandfather, two generations removed from one's parents.
The term extends backward: a great great grandmother is three generations removed, and so on.
Both of my great grandmothers lived past ninety.
