gawpers
Those who ogle
Gawpers are people who stare openly, usually at something shocking, unusual, or none of their business.
The word carries disapproval—gawpers are rubberneckers at accident scenes, crowds gathering around street incidents, onlookers who should move along: Gawpers slowed traffic to a crawl.
More common in British than American English.
