frizzante
Gently bubbling wine
Frizzante is an Italian wine term for lightly sparkling—more effervescent than still wine but gentler than fully sparkling (spumante).
The bubbles are subtle, a pleasant tingle rather than aggressive fizz: a chilled frizzante on a summer afternoon.
Prosecco is often made in frizzante style.
