followed-up
Continued the inquiry
Followed-up is the past tense of follow up, meaning to take additional action after an initial effort.
You follow up on a lead, a conversation, or a medical appointment: She followed-up with the client after the meeting.
The hyphenated form is less standard than the two-word followed up, which most style guides prefer for the verb.
