flight cancellation
Trip suddenly voided
Flight cancellation is the discontinuation of a scheduled flight by an airline before departure.
Weather, mechanical problems, crew shortages, or operational issues may cause cancellations.
Airlines typically rebook passengers or offer refunds: Our flight cancellation left us stranded overnight in Chicago.
Mass cancellations during storms or system failures can strand thousands.
