edified

Taught and uplifted

Edified means improved in moral or intellectual understanding.

Someone who feels edified has gained insight or been uplifted: I left the lecture feeling genuinely edified.

The word carries a slightly formal or ironic tone—you might say I can't say I was edified by the experience to mean you learned nothing of value.
