Drunk dialled (also *drunk dialed*) is the past tense of drunk dial—to call someone while intoxicated, typically late at night, often an ex-partner or someone you wouldn't contact sober.
The combination of lowered inhibitions and late-night loneliness produces calls that seem like good ideas at the time: I drunk dialled my ex at 2 a.m. and left a rambling voicemail.
The concept has extended to drunk texting and messaging.
