Double beds are beds sized to accommodate two people.
In North American sizing, a double (also called full) measures approximately 54 by 75 inches—wider than a twin but narrower than a queen.
The term sometimes appears in hotel listings and furniture descriptions: The room has two double beds.
In British usage, double bed more broadly means any bed for two.
