dessert spoons

Custard-serving implements

Dessert spoons are medium-sized spoons, larger than teaspoons but smaller than tablespoons, traditionally used for eating desserts and puddings.

In British measurement, a dessertspoon is a unit of volume equal to about two teaspoons or ten milliliters: Add two dessertspoons of sugar.

The term is more common in British than American English.
