contractable
Able to acquire
Contractable describes something that can be contracted—either in the sense of shrinking or tightening, or in the sense of entering into an agreement.
A muscle is contractable; a service may be contractable.
For diseases that can be caught, *contractible* is the traditional form, though *contractable* increasingly appears in this sense as well: a highly contractable infection.
