Enclosed imaging tube
A closed MRI is the traditional magnetic resonance imaging machine where the patient lies inside a narrow cylindrical tube during the scan.
The enclosed design produces higher-quality images than open MRI machines but can trigger claustrophobia: She requested sedation for her closed MRI.
The tube typically surrounds the patient on all sides except the ends.
