chancer
Risky bet taker
A chancer is someone who takes risks or pushes their luck, often through bluffing or exploiting opportunities others wouldn't dare.
The term is chiefly British and Irish, usually carrying a note of disapproval—a chancer isn't bold so much as opportunistic, willing to try getting away with things: He's a bit of a chancer, always angling for something.
