Cannot see means lacking the ability to perceive visually, whether literally or figuratively.
It may describe blindness or obstructed vision: I cannot see without my glasses, We cannot see the stage from here.
Figuratively, it means failing to understand or recognize: I cannot see how this helps anyone, She cannot see her own flaws.
To say you cannot see yourself doing something means you find it unimaginable.
