button masher
Controller abuse artist
Button masher describes someone who plays video games by rapidly pressing buttons without strategy or skill, hoping something works: I'm just a button masher—I don't know any real combos.
The term can be self-deprecating or dismissive of another player's technique.
It also describes games that reward or allow such play: a mindless button masher.
