Unintentional phone contact
Butt dialing is accidentally calling someone when your phone is in your pocket or bag and pressure activates the screen.
The recipient hears muffled sounds, background noise, or fragments of conversation: I butt dialed my boss during a job interview.
Also called pocket dialing.
As a verb: Sorry, I butt dialed you.
