brassier
Having more nerve
Brassier is the comparative form of brassy—more bold, loud, or showy than something else: Her laugh grew brassier after a few drinks.
It also describes sounds with more metallic, trumpet-like quality: The band's horns sounded brassier in the smaller room.
Not to be confused with brassiere, the undergarment.
