boxscore

Condensed game record

A boxscore is a statistical summary of a sporting event, typically presented in tabular form.

It records key performance metrics for each player—points scored, assists, rebounds in basketball; hits, runs, errors in baseball.

Originally printed in newspaper sports sections, boxscores now appear online within minutes of a game's end: I checked the boxscore to see how many strikeouts the pitcher had.

Also spelled box score.
