Oi!

British attention grabber

Oi is a British exclamation used to get someone's attention or express indignation, often sharply: Oi! Watch where you're going!

It carries a rough, working-class tone—more confrontational than "hey" or "excuse me." In Australian English, oi functions similarly but also appears in celebratory chants: Aussie Aussie Aussie, oi oi oi!
