Murder Inc

Mob assassination arm

Murder Inc (also Murder Incorporated) was the name given to organized crime's enforcement arm in 1930s–40s America—a network of hitmen, mostly Jewish and Italian, who carried out contract killings for the national crime syndicate.

The name now serves as shorthand for any ruthlessly efficient killing operation: The CIA ran its own Murder Inc during the Cold War.

In hip-hop, Murder Inc Records was a prominent late-1990s label founded by Irv Gotti.
