An MI6 agent is a person who works for the British Secret Intelligence Service, the UK's foreign intelligence agency.
The term often appears in spy fiction and journalism: The MI6 agent had been operating undercover in Moscow for three years.
In practice, MI6 employees are called officers; "agent" technically refers to foreign informants they recruit.
