Twitterpated means infatuated or smitten, especially in a giddy, distracted way.
The word was coined in Disney's *Bambi* (1942) to describe animals becoming lovesick in spring.
It suggests being so besotted that clear thinking becomes impossible: He's completely twitterpated over that new girl in accounting.
The word combines twitter (nervous excitement) with pated (having a head).
