A service lane is a narrow road running parallel to a main highway, providing access to businesses, homes, or facilities without entering fast-moving traffic.
Also called a frontage road or access road.
In some regions, service lane refers to the lane in a parking structure or service station where vehicles queue for maintenance: Pull into the service lane for your oil change.
