sanforized
Won't shrink later
Sanforized describes fabric, especially cotton, that has been pre-shrunk through a patented mechanical process to prevent further shrinkage when washed.
The term comes from Sanford Cluett, who developed the treatment in the 1930s.
Clothing labeled sanforized guarantees minimal shrinkage—typically less than one percent: These sanforized jeans won't shrink in the wash.
