pushed off

Left the dock

Pushed off means departed or set out, especially from a shore or dock: We pushed off at dawn.

The image is of physically pushing a boat away from land to begin a journey.

By extension, it can mean simply leaving any place: I should push off—it's getting late.

More common in British English for casual departures.
