Purple shampoo is a hair product that neutralizes brassy or yellow tones in blonde, gray, or lightened hair.
The purple pigment works on color theory—purple sits opposite yellow on the color wheel, so it cancels out unwanted warm tones: I use purple shampoo once a week to keep my highlights from going brassy.
