penguin chick
Fluffy polar baby
A penguin chick is a young penguin, from hatching until it develops adult plumage.
Penguin chicks are covered in fluffy down feathers and depend entirely on their parents for food and warmth.
In many species, chicks huddle together in groups called crèches while adults hunt: The penguin chick waited for its parent to return with food.
