nonreturnables
Bottles without deposits
Nonreturnables are containers—bottles, cans, jars—that cannot be returned to a store for a deposit refund.
The term distinguishes them from returnable containers that carry a small deposit redeemed when brought back for recycling: Put the nonreturnables in the regular recycling bin.
The word also applies more broadly to any items a seller won't accept back.
