nonkosher
Against dietary law
Nonkosher describes food that doesn't meet Jewish dietary laws—pork, shellfish, or meat not prepared according to kashrut standards.
The term extends figuratively to anything improper, questionable, or not quite right: Something nonkosher is going on with the accounts.
