noncurricular
Beyond the syllabus
Noncurricular describes activities or subjects outside the standard academic curriculum.
A noncurricular club meets after school but isn't part of coursework.
The term is interchangeable with extracurricular, though noncurricular sometimes emphasizes what a school doesn't teach rather than what students do beyond class: The board deemed sex education noncurricular.
