Non-randomized describes a study or trial where participants are not assigned to groups by chance.
In medical research, non-randomized studies may compare patients who chose different treatments or were assigned by a physician's judgment rather than random allocation.
Such designs are easier to conduct but more vulnerable to bias than randomized controlled trials.
